ParticipantBeen feeding my Labrador Retriever Cooper Merrick dog food for about 8 months now after switching from Science Diet. Wanted to try a grain-free option with real meat as the first ingredient and better nutritional profile for his active lifestyle.
Cooper’s coat condition has improved dramatically, much shinier and softer than before. His energy levels are more consistent throughout the day, and digestive health has been excellent with regular, firm stools. The ingredient quality impressed me with deboned chicken and sweet potatoes instead of fillers.
Merrick offers good flavor variety which keeps Cooper interested at meal times. His appetite is strong and weight management has been easier. Stool volume decreased noticeably, suggesting better nutrient absorption compared to his previous food. The price point is moderate for premium dog food, though definitely more than grocery store brands.
Looking for other dog owners experiences with Merrick any long-term feeding results or flavor recommendations? Worth continuing or other suggestions? 🐕🍽️

ParticipantI used Merrick dog food for my Rottweiler Tank from July 2025 to September 2025, completing a 3 month feeding period focused on large breed puppy nutrition. During this time, the transition was smooth, he accepted the flavor well, and his growth rate stayed appropriate. By the second month, his coat looked healthier, his energy remained steady, and his joints developed properly. By September, his muscle tone was strong, appetite consistent, and overall wellness excellent. This 3 month evaluation shows Merrick’s large breed formula, with its natural ingredients, supports healthy growth and proper development in big puppies.🦮

ParticipantActually been using Merrick dog food for my Golden Retriever Bella for over a year now. The grain-free formula and real deboned meat as first ingredient convinced me to switch from commercial kibble. Bella’s digestive health improved significantly on Merrick. Her nutrient absorption seems better with natural ingredients compared to processed dog foods. The sweet potato and pea base provides sustained energy without grain sensitivities.
Merrick’s limited ingredient options work great for Bella’s mild food allergies. Her coat quality and skin health are excellent, proving premium ingredients make a real difference in canine wellness.🐾
